Language AI & NLP

Making AI work across more languages.

Language technology should work for more than the world’s highest-resource languages. We build language resources, NLP infrastructure and evaluation for regional and under-resourced languages, starting with Dhatki, Sindhi, Urdu, Punjabi and Saraiki.

Why it matters

Most AI is built for a handful of languages.

Millions of people in Pakistan speak and write languages that general-purpose AI handles poorly. The problems are practical, and they start long before the model.

Little clean data

Web text is scarce, noisy and often mixed with other languages. Useful corpora need collection, cleaning and normalization first.

Tokenizers that break words

Tokenizers trained mostly on English split words in Perso-Arabic scripts into many fragments, which raises cost and lowers quality.

Few ways to measure

Without local test sets, nobody can say how well a model really works for a Sindhi or Saraiki speaker.

How we work

From raw text to working language technology.

Each stage can be a project on its own, or part of an end-to-end engagement.

  1. 01

    Data

Corpus collection, cleaning, script and Unicode normalization, deduplication and language identification.

  2. 02

    Annotation

Annotation guidelines, linguistic tagging, entity and stance labels, quality control and agreement checks.

  3. 03

    Model development

Tokenizer training, morphological resources, model adaptation and fine-tuning for the target language.

  4. 04

    Evaluation

Test set design, benchmarking, error analysis and plain-language reports on where a model fails.

  5. 05

    Deployment

Packaging the result as a library, an API, a chatbot or a tool your team can actually use.

Where each language stands

Honest about what exists today.

Readiness differs a lot between languages. This is where our own work stands, so you know what a project would start from.

Dataset categories

The language data we build for clients.

We collect, clean, annotate and validate datasets in these categories, scoped to your language, domain and model.

Pretraining corpora

Large, cleaned and deduplicated text collections for training language models and tokenizers.

  • Web, news and literary text
  • Script and Unicode normalization
  • Language-ID and quality filtering

Instruction and chat (SFT) data

Prompt and response pairs in ChatML or similar formats for fine-tuning assistants in a local language.

  • Grammar and factual tasks
  • Reasoning and Q&A
  • Domain-specific instructions

Question answering and evaluation sets

Small, carefully checked test sets that show how a model really performs for local users.

  • Factual QA
  • Held-out benchmarks
  • Error analysis reports

Sentiment and stance annotation

Labelled news and social text for opinion, sentiment and discourse analysis.

  • Urdu and English news
  • Bilingual annotation
  • Agreement checks

Named entities and linguistic tags

Entity, morphology and part-of-speech labels prepared in annotation tools such as Doccano.

  • NER label schemes
  • Morphological tagging
  • Treebank auditing

Cross-lingual and multilingual data

Aligned resources across related Perso-Arabic languages for transfer learning.

  • Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Saraiki
  • Embedding alignment
  • Zero-shot transfer tests

Open research

Our public datasets and models.

Built in the open by our founder, Aakash Meghwar, and published on Hugging Face. These are the foundations our client work starts from.

Pretraining corpora

  • sindhi-corpus-clean

Cleaned Sindhi corpus, about 529K documents, filtered by Arabic-script ratio with NFKC normalization.

  • sindhi-corpus-langid-clean

Language-ID filtered variant, about 492K documents.

  • sindhi-corpus-505m

Source compilation of about 742K documents (~505M tokens) from 11 public Sindhi datasets: news, literature, legal, religious and encyclopedic text.

  • sindhi-tokenized-505m

Pre-tokenized version of the compiled corpus for faster training.

Who it is for

Specialist work for teams building language technology.

AI companies and startups

Teams that need to know how their model performs in regional languages before launch.

Multilingual AI teams

Groups adding Sindhi, Urdu, Punjabi, Saraiki or Dhatki to an existing product.

Research institutions

Labs that need corpora, annotation or evaluation support for low-resource work.

Data and annotation buyers

Organizations that need language datasets built and checked by native speakers.

Questions

Common questions about language AI projects.

Do you have ready-made datasets for every language?

No. Sindhi has the most existing resources from our work. For Urdu, Punjabi, Saraiki and Dhatki, most projects include data collection or annotation. We will tell you plainly what exists and what would need to be built.

Can you evaluate our model in Sindhi or Urdu?

Yes, on a project basis. We design test sets around your use case, run the evaluation and explain where the model succeeds and where it fails.

Do you work with universities and research groups?

Yes. Much of our work started in research, and we are glad to support academic projects with data, annotation and evaluation.

How is our data handled?

Data handling, confidentiality and ownership are agreed in writing for each project before any data is shared.
